Spiders often come in pairs, so you may just have seen the much smaller male. The female (several times as big) will hide until you sleep, and then crawl over you.

They crawl into the bed with you and bite you. I've read that they're attracted to warm, moist breath, and that the average person will eat a number of spiders in their lifetime for that reason.

Don't worry, the spiders you eat are mostly the smaller ones.

LOL Your worried about spiders??? Consider yourself fortunate you don't have to worry about red centipedes!!! There are almost as many of them here in hawaii as there are geckos. They bite at the first chance they get and whatever they bite swells up and hurts for a week. LOL Everynight I check my bed for these damn things.

Do you have the ability, at all, to string words together without using several ellipses to do so?

Yeah, I know, those guys suck! They go everywhere, and you can never be sure you've gotten rid of them all.
