Omega Seamaster Professional (James Bond Watch) 50% off retail

Ashford.com sells the Omega Seamaster Professional (2531.80) for $1050 (it retails in jewelry stores for $1750). There is a 15% off coupon that's floating around that you can use on this watch, which brings it down to $892.50. When you purchase you will get free overnight Fedex shipping and free gift wrapping (even if you tell them you don't want it, they send it in a velvet-style Ashford drawstring bag). Also, you can go through eBates and get another 5% back (~$44), bringing the net cost down to around $850. That's over 50% off of retail. These are brand new genuine Seamasters. The only caveat is that Ashford is not an authorized Omega retailer, so Omega will not honor the warranty. Ashford will honor the terms of the manufacturer's warranty, however, so if you ever have a problem they will repair/replace it for you. (Most likely replace). By the way, the coupon should work with any other watch they sell as well. This just happens to be the one I bought so I knew the specifics.

Interesting. The description states "Coupons not valid on this model." However, the 15% coupon works. Good thing that I get charged tax on this in Texas, otherwise it may be too tempting to pass on.

Let your eBates check cover the tax 🙂

I have the original Seamaster in the series. Didn't pay beans for it. My dad knew the guy who was going to bring the Seamaster line to the US and gave him a free sample. I took it to an Omega jewler and it's worth about $1500. It's a damn nice watch 🙂

I have this watch. Paid a bit more for it, but it is completely worth it. My dad has a ~30 year old Speedmaster (the moon watch) that still runs perfectly. If you want a nice watch, definitely go for an Omega.

Kind of makes you wonder how much money Ashford can possibly be making off of something like this. Although I have no idea what the markup is on an item like this.

I have a friend who works at a watch store. I don't know what the average markup is, but the employees are able to get amazing deals, as much as 75% off retail on the luxury watches. The store has agreements with the watch manufacturers not to sell the watches below a certain price to the normal customer. That way the stores don't really compete against one another, a Rolex in one store is close to the same price as the same Rolex at a different store. Also keeps the brand name from being devalued. Just like most jewelry, the markup is large.

Wow...you must have a tough time in the morning which Rolex or Cartier to wear that day! 🙂

Keep in mind for most luxury watches like Omega, no one every pays full retail price. I got my Omega a few years back when Ashford had that 30% off coupon (30% off their sale price keep in mind) which was pretty amazing.

Dunno what timothy mcveigh means by small but the watched listed here is bigger than the Omega mid size watch which I wear and fits me perfect. 🙂

I received this Seamaster as a gift and I must say I love it. My only two gripes are that being a chronometer, if you take it off for a few hours a day (I don't wear it to the gym), it'll lose a few minutes a week. Also, the bracelet scuffs easily. It doesn't look bad, but you can tell its scuffed.

Otherwise, it's the best watch I've ever owned and people are always commenting on it. Won't be replacing this one until I can afford a stainless Submariner, assuming they still make them in 2020 😉

Ashford is an awesome place to get stuff. I bought a nice citizen there, every other place had it for about 40 bucks more, plus you would pay for shipping. Ashford I got free shipping, plus another 2 years warranty tacked on to what the watch had.

btw, Ashford actually has a showroom here in Houston where you can go check stuff out and also get your repairs done... so, if you're local, at least it'll make you feel better about having to pay tax

If you can't afford that one, I have owned a nice Casio Rolex/Omega lookalike for several years , its reliable, rugged and stylish and costs far less than that one.

Wow...I wish someone would buy me an Omega as a gift! My mother called me before last Christmas and asked me what I wanted. I told her a nice watch, and she said "oh, you mean something like in the $50 range?"
