What with the release of the 6.8 drivers from ATI, I've been wondering whether it would be better to stick with my current ATI 6.7 drivers, upgrade to the ATI 6.8 drivers or use the 6.7 Omega drivers. Does anybody here use Omega drivers? If so, how have you found them? Thanks in advance.

I used to use them for my old Radeon 9500 for integrated softmodding. They were nice. I think the latest version of them that I used was the 5.13's, so I don't know how the current sets are.

Right now I'm using the 6.6 Warcats, which come with an integrated Chuck Patch for my X1900. They get the job done, no complaints here.

Go to http://www.omegadrivers.net/

I found them quite useful. Before when I used Catalyst 6.7, I played BF2 and after awhile, I BSOD talking about some sort of stop-error for my video card driver.

I used the 6.5 omega drivers and it doesn't happen anymore!

I wouldn't mind knowing too, I will be running an X1900XTX without overclocking or anything with an X2 4200+ also not overclocked. Are the omega drivers actually 'better'?

Yes the 6.7s were causing me a BSOD on boot, i cleaned with drivercleaner pro and installed the 6.5s and now everything is straight.

Omega drivers cause my x1900xt to reset over and over. I can see the screen blank out for a second and come back. Similar to what you see when you change resolution. It happens randomly all the time. I just use the standard ATI drivers to avoid the annoyance.
