i just installed the latest omega drivers based on the nvidia detanators 43.45s and the image quality is night and day differance (in favor of the omega drivers). I was runing from the latest nvidia detanator refernce drivers from guru3d and ALL of the refernce nvidia drivers gave me wierd artifacts, minor but annyoning. i had never used anything but the 40.xx line of detanators becuase i have only been a nvidiot for a few months. (i was a voodooman up untill i got my geforce4 TI4200 8x) i was originally appalled by the image quality of the geforce compared to my vooodoo5 5500. now these omega seem to have fixed my complaints. i am still mad at nvidia for the FSAA image quality (which is inferior to the voodoo) but at least i can now run my games without 2 hours of work to make WickedGL run correctly. but my next card will hopefully be a Matrox card. maybe they can make something better and cheaper after the parhelia has run its course and my geforce is finally obsolete.

omega drivers

btw for all you WHQL fanATIcs out there. Guru 3d has those 43.51s that are now WHQL certified:) but the omegas are not, even though they are superior to the 43.51s in every way except for 3dmark2001 scores. all my games run with no performance hit with these omega drivers or at least i do not notice one.

most people think the omega drivers are night and day because they dont tweak their own settings. I for one think the omega drivers suck, the LOD is way too high and the image quality looks way too sharp. If you know how to tweak your settings just right, you can get the same effect.

omega drivers rock. Used to tweak all the time but why bother? Everything runs and looks great with his drivers anyway. Who cares about 3dmark anyway
