Linked for the lazy
What is the big deal with omega drivers anyways, just different options? I downloaded them, but I have the ati catalyst 3.10's running. Do the omega drivers get rid of the blockiness in call of duty?

Crap.. BF1942 won't start now. An window with an error message title flashes and I can't read anything.

I reinstalled the game and still no go. Anyone having the same problem?

How does DX2 run on Omega 3.10 compared to Cat 3.10 ?
Cos DNA Beta 3.10 ran DX2 very very well. Cat 3.10 is ever so slightly choppy for me.

For the guy who's BF1942 doesnt work, try this. Go to the mods folder in the BF directory and then got to folder bf1942, and last goto the setting folder. Open Videodefault with noptepad. Now, the last line should read "renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 0". Now just change that 0 to a 1. From what I can tell, I had the dame problem as you and this fixes it, I got this from the IGN boards so credit goes to him!

I have a Radeon 9600 Pro and it's fine with the Omega 3.10's. I havn't tried the ATI Cats.

What is special about omega drivers and if it is performance related, how do they do it? Overclocking?

Registry and file modifications to enhance performance. Overclocking is optional on you with a provided utility if you should choose to use it.

Correction - No overclocking utility is included anymore.

I still don't understand why ATI can't make the same improvements to their own drivers.

It sucks very badly that there is no overclocking utility included anymore. That definately made life easier.

Actually there IS an overclocking utility in 3Dprofiler (I think) included with the package. It's just that the guy stopped using RadClocker. You can still install the standalone version of RadClocker.

What else having on or off will help Call Of Duty run better?
