Omar Visquel with SIX hits, coming up to bat for 7. WOWSERS.

Esteban didn't give up 16 runs.. Vasquez gave up only 6. 🙂 ..then Esteban did the rest.

I hope to hear some patton-esque quote from "The Boss" tomorrow, especially if Boston holds on to its lead over Anaheim.

.... and the Mets look foolish against the fish again... sigh😱

So how did the Loaiza-Contreas trade benefit the Yankees at all? Brian Cashman is such a bad G.M.

Cashman is terrible, ain't he? MORON. Contreras would not have pitched well in NY, doesn't matter if he goes 22-4 with CHicago. Loiza was a 20 game winner a year ago.

Brian Cashman has all the resources in the world. A G.M with limited resources who makes his team great through trades is a great one. Cashman is hardly great...lets see what he does with a limited pool of talent and cash.

Que PlatinumGold

John Schurholtz baby, the last 2 or 3 seasons, he really has worked with a limited budget and worked miracles.

how do you lose Sheff, Javy Lopez and Greg Maddux and still come back to win the season?

Perfect example. John Schurholz who works with less money each season does the best that he can to make sure his team competes. He does a fantastic job and IS a great G.M.

wow... 22 to 0.. Loaiza is totally stinking up the joint big time. ... and Boston wins. 3 and half back now.

IF, IF boston does catch the yankees, which team has more pressure to perform? which team is more likely to choke? Obviously the historical answer is Boston, but this season seems different from past seasons.

It may be different because the Yanks last season had Clemens, Pettitte, a good Mussina..etc. The Yankees starting rotation this season stinks. Granted a healthy Brown can be great and Mussina CAN be good. Boston has Schilling, Pedro (who the yanks do beat up on) and Wakefield (who kills the Yanks for some reason). ... then again.. the Yanks have El Duque.. the secret weapon.
