Stopped at OM today on the way home and got a pack of these. Hate rebates and nice to have on hand.

Although it's a good deal, these CDs SUCK. Don't ever burn at 48x, they will crap out half the time. Even then, you're lucky if you can get them to burn 80% at 24x.

I bought a 100 pack a few months ago. I burned at least 50 with no problems what so ever.

People get bad burns because they simply dont know what they are doing. Its a simple proven fact. I see it happen over and over again. Just look at the poster above me, they clearly dont know what they're doing.

do you base that on post count?

There have been a lot of people reporting burns on lower speeds

I've been using these CD's for over a year now without any problems. I've been through at least 10 spindles (50packs) without incident using a Liteon 52X CD-Burner.

I find above 32x on my cd burner, they cause problems maybe every 10 CDs. However, If I use my dvd burner at 52x, I never have problems.

I've been using these for a long time now for every day stuff. I use Fuji TY for "special" burns. Never had a problem with these, but I do all my burns at 24x or 32x. Habit I got into and can't seem to break. At 10 cents apiece, I can burn a quick disc and give it away or throw it away. Intogamer, I haven't opened them up yet so can't see the media code. They went into a cabinet with about 10 other packs. I'm thinking of going to a 12 step program for buying cdr's.

My experience with KHypermedia products is 100% bad. CMC or worse OEMs. It's just not worth it.

never a coaster for me. This will be probably my 10th 100pk spindle or so from khypermedia.

Picked up 2 more today at my local OM. They had about 60 spindles.

SKU # 637668232544

Yeah, I got the same SKU. I think this is my first Khypermedia, but I've had more than one batch of CMC, I do believe. Fact is I don't think I've ever had trouble with any media since upgrading from my first CDRW burner, a Creative 8x (and oh, that sucker made such an aggravating racket!). Had nothing but Liteon's ever since with the addition of my most recent burner, an NEC 2510a DVD+RW. Smooth sailing. I do worry, so I burn the most important stuff on Taiyo Yuden (Fuji), but I haven't found those on sale for a long time, and am running out of them.

For silly audio CD's that you are just gonna toss around / scratch / give away to friends, this is about as good of a deal as you'll find. I've used K-Hypermedia for the above purposes before and had no troubles. Heck, I just listened to a CD yesterday that was burned on a 12x K-Hyper disc about 5 years ago with no problems.

I'll definitely be buying a couple spindles!

Picked up 100 today. There was only 1 spindle left.
About as cheap as it gets for CDR's
