Olympus E-330 D-SLR with Live preview with two kit lenses

Wouldn't mind having one myself, but about 11 of us are going in on a gift for a friend of ours who is getting married in May. He wants a D-SLR and we're going to get him one. He's used to P&S cameras, so any D-SLR would be a step up for him.

I ran across this Olympus E-330 for $799 with 14-45mm and 40-150mm lenses from NewEgg.

Suggestions...? I want something that will last him a good while and would rather stay away from budget models like the D40.
