I wonder if this is just regional? It is still 399.99 on the site which may just mean that it is! this unit got some good reveiws but complaints about battery life!

I own this camera and before I picked up my rechargables at Newegg it ate through the plain old Energizers. Now I can take 60-70+ (flash pictures with the LCD screen on) per set before recharging. Depending on your needs, you can judge whether that is enough battery life for you. I have 2 sets, rarely will I ever take over 100 pictures in a day, it's plenty for me.

As a casual user and not a pro by any means, I'm VERY satisfied with my D-510 Zoom.
