Picked this camera up yesterday from the local Office Depot. The price marked is $599 but is in the add for $499. Purchase with price matching cc (Blue, AMEX, CitiClick, etc) compdirect.com for $437. Search other post for coupons to be applied ( $20 off of $100) and That brings cost to $417 + tax (tax of $499). Considering this is a highly rated 3.34 megapixel camera that accepts up to 128 meg smartmedia, extra filters/lenses/flashes, I consider this an extremely good deal. Camera normally goes for around $599 to $699 at most B& M's.

I got one yesterday for $499 without the other rebates - is it too late for the $20 off $100? Great camera - as far as I can see it beats its nearest rival the Nikon CoolPix 880.

Did you notice that the ad said "includes camera case" but yet it didn't? They gave me one of the only cases they had (a Samsonite) even though it didn't fit. Funnily enough too, they didn't have the camera on display since I don't think it's part of their regular stock.

I have had this camera for 5 months now, fantastic pics !

Good luck with those cameras guys :)

This is part of there regular stock. Since they are no longer carrying the Canon line, they have added the Olympus line (much better overall in my opinion, except the G1). They indeed had it on display in the store I bought from and two others that I visited and the posted price was $599. The manager said they had just received the cameras in within the last two weeks. Anyone notice the ad didn't say anything about a sale? I wonder if this is a misprint or if the camera is going to be regularly $499 or if it is actually a sale? Don't know but a great price. Unsure of the sale coupon being honored on a prior sale like that. Probably up to the discretion of the managers. Will check though.

This is a great camera. The price has dropped on this thing and probably will continue cause of the new 2040, 3040 and 700 ultra zoom. The camera was like $600 three months ago. It is not as fast as the 3030, and the only difference from the 3040 is the new lens. Not worth the extra $200-$300 if you are not a professional.

Enjoy the camera and remember to take advantage of the shutterfly promo discounts.

Update:

I was at bestbuy and they have the camera for $499 too. I guess it is a price drop and this is the new price.

Any of you that have this camera, what size lens filter fits on this camera. I want something to protect the lens. The guys at bestbuy had no idea.

Hehe.. Not surprised. ;)

Here's an excellent link for you. This is an excellent resource for owners of the C20x0z/C30x0z (I have the 2020 btw).

I have more links, but I don't want to confuse you any. If you have any questions after reading this site, PM me. I know the Oly cameras very well so I can help you get fixed up with some lens armor. There are some caveat's though, so read over the lens armor section really well.

Here's a specific page that deals with lens armor. This is what you are after here.
