Olympus C-860L digital camera and WindowsXP

i cannot find anywhere on the web drivers/software for the Olympus C-860L digital camera for any version of Windows, specifically XP

it is not part of the Windows "Scanners and Cameras" bit in CP :(

any help will be much appreciated

Don't bother with even trying to do that. All you need to do is connect a USB reader for Smart Media and that is the end of the camera problem. You then just take the S/M out of the Oly and put it in the reader (San Disk, Lexar, Hagiwara, . . . all are good). XP then sees it as another HDD and the reads are direct into any imaging software of your choice. PSP 7 is great for digital imagery editing.

I am on my 4th Oly . . . have three systems, and have never bothered installing any camera software. It is not necessary.:)

the thing is tho that it's not my camera - i'm borrowing it off a mate while he is out of town for a few days, and i forgot (*smacks forehead*) to get the software CD, cos i thought that WinXP may pick it up :(

so, getting a S/M reader is not really viable atm :(
