Olympus C-50 5MP @ BB B&M for $349 on clearance

Was in Best Buy today and saw the Olympus C-50 5 megapixel camera on clearance for $349.

This is about $150 off of the regular price. My store was out of boxed units, and would not sell the display until "all the units are out of the district??" but said they would discount the display about another 10%

yes , may be worth looking into . Cams go for about $100 a MegaPixel, unless it's a lower end , like uh, Argus. Hope this works for those in need. Looks like a decent buy .
 
I just read the review and wasn't too impressed by it. The printer and Canon camera deal from Dell was a bit hotter than this.

I don't know why it's called the C-50 zoom if it only has 3x zoom haha
 
Butterflyphoto.com has this for 379 with free shipping, so if you really want it, and you cannot find it at bestbuy........
 
IMHO, the Canon Powershot G3 is a far better digicam (and probably the very best 4MP camera out there). It's going for about $100 more than the C50, but more than worth the difference!
 
the g3 has a bigger body to go along with that price, plus the lens sticks out

those who care more about a stylish compact camera than a feature rich high quality camera should take note of this. i've had people buy this on looks alone.
 
the pentax optio 550 is going for about $400 after a $50 rebate from pentax. if you want to look into another camera, i think that's a good one to look at. it's 5 mp, 5x optical zoom, same size as c-50

Funny you should mention that because I just ordered the 550 from them. To make the deal even sweeter, pick up the epson 825 photo printer up at Officemax for 75.00(clearance right now), and epson will give you another rebate of 75.00 for purchasing the 550 and the 825.

Go back a couple of hours later and talk to some other sales person.... you might get a different story about the floor unit. I received the same BS about an ultimate TV receiver receiver several months ago so I went back after work and 10 minutes later I was walking out with it. YMMV of course.
