CompUSA has this camera for $500. The Website says sold out, but the Zip Code check for South Florida shows in stock for all stores. I missed it when they had it for around 300 a month and a half ago. CompUSA cancelled my order for the Canon S100 without an email or phone call. Anyway, I picked one (C2100) up.

It is available on the web at about the same price, but you have to deal with shady vendors dealing with grey market stuff mostly.

Features, why I like this camera are the 10x optical Zoom with Image Stabilization. 2 Mega Pixels is enough for me and should be for most people. You can take pretty good pictures indoors with poor lighting without a flash, the camera adjusts the shutter speed and the image stablilization takes care of the shaking. Although it is not the smallest of cameras, it is not as heavy as it's size may indicate. Overall, I like it.

It is a great camera. Unfortunately, it's discontinued and its max resolution is only 1600X1200.
If you feel happy spending $500 for 1600X1200, go for it. Also, its lens is amazing - 10X optical zoom of good quality.
