Never heard of this woman before but it sounds like a religious upbringing met a career first mindset. Nothing inherently wrong with it, but I don't have a lot of sympathy when life is about choices and you take the ones that lead to you being a lonely virgin. On the resume of relationships, you've only ever done internships. No real work experience means you're, forgive the metaphor, unskilled labor. You've put this off until it's difficult, then complain it's even harder in a pandemic? No way.

"Saving yourself" is a figment, a sales term for brainwashed people. In reality it means odds are good you come with a lot of repressed sexual baggage, probably see sex as sinful and dirty, and have a libido to match. If you think guys should ignore all those warning signs, then yes, probably time to just invest in a multitude of felines.

'Don't waste time, or time will waste you' seems to apply here. Oversharing on social media also seems counterproductive.

She's been talking about this for at least 15 years now (maybe even longer). I remember when she first came to fame running races in Iowa.

After so long, she's just trying to stay relevant by continuing to talk about it. Who knows, she might even get her own reality TV show on TLC when she's 50 and still talking about being a virgin.

An interview I saw with her (cold as balls?) was simple & good. She seems like a fun Woman with an odd commitment.
Look in the I’m a virgin L&R thread. Warning there are some weird posters in that thread.

Her body, her choice.

I agree, sort of weird at her age but whatever.
From the little I know of her she doesn’t appear to have any strange standards like the guy needs to have this or that and be into this and be a virgin too.
I do wonder if she just doesn’t like guys and hasn’t figured that out yet.

Maybe we could get Lola and our extremely frustrated virgin triple Bob together. And after so many years for both of them not finding a meaningful relationship, who knows, maybe the sparks will fly? :p

The problem is that Lola seems to be a relatively well adjusted person, and Bob is one line of meth away from being a mass murderer.

Oversharing on social media, never good. Applies to the other end of the spectrum as well. Girls, stop doing this.

I have to commend her for being able to keep track of that many different men. I think that would have needed a spreadsheet to keep track all my encounters after 25 or so partners. After a while, the experiences have to start blurring together.

You win some, you lose some. She didn't get any distractions in her life or some crappy bad guy.

But...she had nothing but self-stimulation for quite a few years.

Her being unable to maintain a relationship might have nothing to do with sex and might have everything to do with being a crazy asshole.
Also, approaching middle age and abstaining from sexual relationships with men? Assumptions could be made.

I think there are some advantages to waiting until marriage, but I think the negative definitely over takes the positive at some point around 25.

Staying in The Olympic village, renowned for 24/7 rampant pipe laying, and emerging with an intact hymen should probably qualify her for some kind of medal on it's own really.

I'm still baffled Mike Phelps had time (or energy) to compete, let alone clean house.

There is definitely something going on. It is her body her choice but she is just another victim of sexual repression and misogynistic expectations by religious entities. She has fallen into a trap and now finds herself alone.
