Earlier this week, director Bryan Singer announced that The Newsroom actress Olivia Munn would be playing Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse. Now only days later, the actress has posted this tease of the look her character might be rocking in the 2016 blockbuster. Check it out below!

Her mother is part Chinese. And she can speak some Japanese so that helps.

Don't know about links you posted (I didn't look at any) but Olivia Munn is /was definitely one of the very most beautiful and excellent and HOTTEST actresses,
screaming hot in fact.

Seems like now she's aging out,

growing too old to play the attractive hottie sexually alluring babe anymore. That's over for her due to age.

For Olivia as a person, maybe best for her to now turn and dive into whatever nest she already previously made, and grow a family life out of that base.

She's got the right face for it... I love it when they cast characters who actually look like their comic counterparts; they NAILED Professor X with Patrick Stewart! I really wish they had used someone like The Rock for Venom in the Spiderman series though. Casting is hard.

Meh...she's attractive but not anymore talented than a lot of B-list actors...just someone who has made her claim to fame with tits and teeth. She's savvy in the fact that the leveraged her lack of talent and good looks the best way she could...nerddom.

She may make a great Psylocke...you never know. Since she won't have to carry much of the acting load and may be able to leverage her athelticism and looks and pull the part off spectacularly. Hoping I'm mildly surprised if she ends up in the role and it does well.

I think she'll be fine with any and all dialogue that she gets in the movie based on her ability to deal with sorkinisms in The Newsroom and the fact that she's rather decent in Japanese.

As you noted her current level of athleticism very well could mean that with a month or two of training she could be believable as a ninja with the help of stunt doubles.

As far as I know her mother was part Chinese and she spent part of her childhood in Japan because her stepfather (iirc) was stationed there. So that's where she picked up her Japanese speaking abilities.

Well for me, I find brains sexy and I feel Ms Munn qualifies as she has propelled herself to the A- actor level from the "tits girl" on various TV. She worked with what she had. Adding to her resume and improving all along the way.

I'm OK with this, but she better have a decent british accent.

She is great in the Newsroom, but that character was a socially awkward monotone placeholder of a person that vomited out Sorkin-esque platitudes in the guise of dialogue. It was great--don't get me wrong, loved that character--but not exactly the role that displays any kind of acting chops.

Anyway, she's still hot as all hell and I can get behind this. It's not like any of these superhero flicks demand any type of complicated anything from the actors.
