Oliver Stone to Direct Anti-Iraq War Ad

Does this strike anyone else as a sort of reverse Swift Boating? Using vets and military families to counter the Administration's constant implied message that being against the war is the equivalent of not supporting the troops?

Hmmm...

April 19, 2007

ABC News' Teddy Davis Reports: Oliver Stone, the Vietnam vet whose films include "Platoon" and "Born on the Fourth of July," has agreed to direct an anti-Iraq war television ad featuring a disenchanted Iraq war veteran or veteran's family member.

The ad, which will be paid for by MoveOn.org and Vote Vets, will air "nationwide" a few weeks from now after MoveOn.org members decide over the next week via on-line ballot which of 20 vets or vet family members they find most compelling based on two-minute audition videos. MoveOn.org does not know at this time how big the ad buy will ultimately be.

I predict another 3 million blogs will appear, supposedly by active military in Iraq, saying how much they love fighting in Iraq and how peachy keen it is over there.
And the resident Bush propaganda patrol will try and post every one. Including the ones that identify Iraq as being in South America.

Iraq boating

Yes!

Can't wait to see it.

Poll numbers already show that American support for our operations in Iraq are at a historic low. Let's wipe that support out completely.
