She got out of prison today. While I believe that crazy bitch couldn't have hit a bull in the ass with a shovel full of rice, what if he hadn't been there? And she had hit her target?

edit: To clarify, I fixed the link so I could see the Wiki page, but I don't get where you get your assumptions on future presidents, etc. Why couldn't Carter have been elected? Why not Reagan? Reagan was already in the political spotlight.

Found the link to Sipple, appearantly the OP thinks if Oliver hadn't reacted to Sarah Jane Moore Aiming a gun at Ford and was able to shoot Ford, the other stuff would not have happened. I think that is debatable, but a world without Reagan as presedent would be a whole lot better.

She was taking a one-handed shot with a pistol forty feet from her target according to the article in this morning's paper. Not to diminish Sipple's quick thinking and genuine act of heroism, those kinds of shots usually only hit their targets in the movies.

As far as the no Carter, no Reagan, etc. hypothesis, that's pure conjecture based on nothing substantive at all, especially the part about the Cold War not ending.
