okay folks, need some help. Trying to get the old dos version of Privater running but something is causing it to hang up.

128 megs PC133 ram
V3-2k video
vortex 2500
ibm 13.6 gig ATA66
toshiba dvd
mitsumi 24x cd-rom
the problems started after changing to the vortex sound card. to run this game right I start from a custom boot disk. main problem is that Privater doesn't really want to recognize the vortex, resulting in good sound effects but completely jumbled voices,........then it locks up. i modified the autoexec and config files to use the vortex drivers, but I just can't get it right.
yeah yeah I know, I should just dump this old game but it has too many memories, plus I really enjoy playing it yet. Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
