My 2500k in my htpc with its original motherboard and 8gb ram which i got all together in 2011. Meant to get the 2500 non k, but Frys had this deal with this Gigabyte H61 and 2500k and it was nearly the same price as the 2500k itself so i jumped on it like a kangaroo. Friend used it for gaming from 2012 right till a few months ago when she got my old 7700k. That 2500k still kicking ass and taking names as a htpc deal. Its more then plenty.
If i get this i3 2100 retro gaming build up and running, that will have the oldest part with a like new gtx285.
