The lady across the road is about 95 and going strong. She walks up the hill and catches the bus into town quite often. She's a lovely lady, talks to me if I'm out in the front yard. She talks a lot though.
"Don't rabbit on darl."
"I don't rabbit on."
"You do rabbit on darl."
Sorry, that reminded me of a line in my favourite movie. Any guesses?
She is on the church softball team with me. I am 18, she is 75, so we have a pretty good range (it is the lowest of the lowest rec leagues, just for fun.) She actually isn't bad. Can hit the ball. People are so surprised that she gets on base about half the time:Q
I have a Great Aunt that is in her 90's. She still does Tai Chi and is a meanace around her town in her little motorcart (she can walk fine , I just think she enjoys driving on the footpath).
My grandma who is 91 but is still as strong as she was when she was in her 30's. Her hearing is bad now but other than that, its like she is still in her prime
My abuelita is 96 going on 97 and still going strong. She is remarkably healthy, and I attribute that to a combination of good genes, healthy habits, and her spirituality. She has a supernatural memory... she's a trip, nothing gets past her!
