I run MS-DOS 6.22 on my old 486 DX-4, which I use for running DOS machine control progs (NC drill, automated test, etc.). It's the best version of DOS Micro$oft ever made.

It's stable and fast because they finally got every idea they stole from DR-DOS right.

I still have a Compaq deskpro with Win3.11 on it, but Compaq didn't include the Windows diskettes with it, so I have the OS but couldn't reinstall it.

we have a copy of GeoWorks Ensemble lying around in the den somewhere...as well as a boxed copy of PC-DOS 6.0 i think. Other than that, we have floppies of Windows 3.11 for Workgroups from an old Packard Bell somewhere.

I think I still have FreeBSD 2.2.4 on an ordered CD set somewhere.

I could also go to my mom's attic and "take" ownership of a Commodore 64 (with OS built into ROM) and an Amiga with Amiga Workbench 1.3.

The oldest OS I used but do not own now was DOS 3.3. Or perhaps MacOS something.

Oldest thing that could be called an "OS" that I wn legally would be GEOS for the Commodore 64. It still works.
Oldest PC OS I legally own is Windows 3.11 for Workgroups 3.11/MS-DOS 6.22 OEM bundle. I don't have the disks anymore, and the front cover of the phonebook-sized manual (containing license info) is gone, but at least I own it.
Oldest PC OS I legally own AND have installation media for is Windows 95 upgrade edition.
Newest OS I legally own is OpenBSD 3.0.

BTW, where would you get OS/2 nowadays? I've always wanted to try it out.
