Older memory and Opteron 165 Overclocking

I'm just about to get my grubby little hands on an Opteron 165 which I plan on overclocking like a fiend (as I'm sure 99% of recent 165 owners are doing). As such I'm wondering if my current memory is going to be capable of handling the pressure.

I have Corsair TwinX1024-3200LL in an Asus A8N-Premium board with my current A64 3000+, and am having no problems whatsoever. The question is how hard can I potentially push these sticks with them lighting up like little Roman candles? I'm not looking for exact numbers, but just some ballpark info. Is it feasible to get the processor to 2.4 or should I first be investing in some shiny new PC4400 or PC4800 sticks?

I'm not sure how much those sticks will overclock, but you should have no problems with running them at their rated speed with a memory divider. To run the Opteron 165 at 2.4 GHz, you'll have to run with an HTT of 267 (x9). With your memory set to DDR400, it'll run at 267, but you can set it at DDR333 for 222 and DDR266 for 178. You might even have a DDR300 setting, which would give you 200. Look here for more detailed information.
