Older games for a small LAN party?

Hadn't figured that part out yet. Could hit up eBay or look for ones that are free to download. Or check out some other avenues of finding them.

Yeah, Tribes and Tribes2 are free now they are great but Alien vs. Predator 2 is the best lan game EVER!! You can even just play the free demo. It takes some getting used to climbing the walls and stuff but I have never had more fun with any LAN game and I have been to too many lans to be healthy. Alsy Soldier of Fortune 2 has a free demo. I don't know how well it would run though.

Up until just recently that was almost the only game my friends and I played at our LAN parties...

I think the original UT hit the pinnacle of multiplayer gaming.

if you don't have your mind set on FPS type games , how bout

DIABLO ? Man that game was awesome , and hours could be spent in the game either working together , or fighting each other. you could choose which patch to apply to the game from Blizzards database on the website , and then you could use whatever hack tools you wanted.....
