We have a dead video card and RAM from an old Dell. I can't remember the chipset, however, its PC800 RDRAM, Intel, Pentium4 - 1.5ghz maybe?

The current AGP video card is an older Quadro2. It has the "unversal" type of AGP pin layout - i.e. 4 slots.

My question is - is this motherboard compatibile with all of today's cards? I remembered reading about how today's videocards have some incompatibilities with older chipsets.

No but if your just talking about AGP cards then "AFAIK" 1-2x AGP slots are not compatible with todays 8x AGP cards (different voltage requirements). Assuming the motherboard is based on Intel's i850 chipset, it should support up to a maximum of 4x AGP and I suppose any AGP 8x card is capable of running @ a rate of 4x AGP.
