i posted this question over on the corsair support forums, but i havent gotten a reply. here's my question:
I've got a CMX512-3200C2 module that i purchased around april '02. I've read things in the past that give me the impression that there have been updates/changed to the XMS series memory along the way. I want to buy a new CMX512-3200C2 and run the two of them in dual channel mode, but i'm wondering if i will be able to. I can tell you that the module that i have right now is programmed in the SPD as PC2700, because it is from before there was the JEDEC spec for DDR400. will that make a difference? will anything else make a difference?
fyi: this is on an asus a7n8x deluxe board.
