Older case, not sure of case fan size

My tower case hasn't got a lot of cooling potential, but I liked it enough to keep using it.

Behind the CPU is a fan opening with holes 50MM apart. What size fan has holes that far apart: 60MM? Nobody around here has that size fan, so I'd hate to guess what I need and order wrong.

Is the 50mm along a side or across the diameter? If along the side, it would have to be a 60mm fan. You could use a 60 to 80 or 60 to 92mm fan adapter on the outside of the case like this to get better cooling. I've done it quite a bit. If the fan grille is restrictive at all (with just a 60mm hole you can't afford any restriction), cut it out!
