Old Women and Their Health Problems

PanzerIV

Diamond Member
I sit near the kitchen area at work and during lunch it's the gathering place of the old timers women club (54+ mostly). I'm constantly subjected to conversations regarding their health problems, sometimes which can get awfully disturbing and nauseating.

Please leave the complaints of your ailments with your doctor because I don't want to hear one more word about your back, feet, heart, blood pressure, appetite, weight, stomach, sleeping problems blah blah blah.

Just for Skoorb: That is all!

Thanks your for your words of wisdom Geekbabe, would you like to help me move my entire office away from the kitchen which is literally two feet away? Call me for a time when you are available.

Hearing them is unavoidable.

lunch time convo's usually center around the interests of the majority of the participants, perhaps their back problems are more interesting a topic to them than your inability to score regularly.

You'll be doing the same damn thing when you reach their age.

Often your aches and pains become a large part of your life when you get old. They network among themselves in hopes of finding better remedies.

Awww when all else fails let's resort to the ole ATOT stereotypes. I will tell my wife tonight you think we should "score" more. Sorry, but some of us have wives and kids and just enjoy this forum.

Take your pick:

1. Listen to music with a headphones,
2. LOL at them and shout, "you are so gonna die soon", or
3. Keep listening, until you get used to it and lessen its nuissance.

LOL. I think option two might be a tad cruel. 😀

My advice still stands,if you think you've got the right to direct the conversation of a group of co-workers, that you're not even participating in,you need to get over yourself.

Stand up, puff out your chest and declare, "There's nothing wrong with you that a good fscking wont fix." Then volunteer for the job.

Geeze what side of the coffin did you wake up on this morning? I never said I intended to steer their conversation one way or the other only that I am forced to hear them by virtue of sitting so close to them in my office. I think it's rather presumptious of you to think I need to "get over myself" because of a simple harmless rant.

Is somebody having a bad day?

:Q Oh man, I'd rather be fired and/or castrated!

PingSpike, for whatever reason only the managers can close their doors.

If I had a dime for every bit of work chitchat that I was forced to overhear that didn't interest me I'd be rich. You either move your seat, try to change the topic to one more of your liking or busy yourself doing something else like reading or talking to a like minded peer.
