Old Windows desktop enhancement app

Had a small app for Windows that would put up information on the desktop about the system status in realtime.

There were several plugins that people had written that could grab the name of the song winamp was playing, pull info from websites about weather and news, and give a pantload of information about the system such as temps, uptime, drive status, etc.

Can't recall the name for the life of me, any help would be appreciated, I think I learned about it from AT but searches reveal nothing to me.

Thanks!

Actually, after looking at Samurize more, looks like that will fit the bill for me. Thanks nsafreak!

There's a bunch of apps that fit that description such as RainMeter, Samurize and a few others. Anything more specific?

It was similar to Samurize (from what I can determine from their screenshots) but I don't believe it was skinable, only text based info.

Also, it was not mind-numbingly hard to customize. The layout and information it displayed was set up in a windows-explorer-like interface, which displayed a list of the options for each subject, and gave an example of the syntax.
