Old video cards in new system

I need to temporarily use an old video card in a Abit IC7 (i875) mobo. I know the AGP specs have changed, are they backward compatible or are the voltages too different?

I would be careful putting an old 2x agp card in a newer slot, since the older cards pulled alot more voltage through the slot.

That's a good question, I don't know. The cards in question are:

ATI 7000
Nvidia TNT2
and Geforce 1 (the original Geforce) 🙂

yeh if it fits, should work fine... the ones that use different voltage have different slot key iirc

Some of the older SIS cards were keyed wrong, and burnt some boards a few years back. I am sure the R7000 will be fine.

I installed an ATI 7200 and it seems to work fine. I guess if I'm getting video then it's okay.
