I'd guess it should be fine, unless you're gaming.

Since gaming with an FX5200 is akin to poking yourself in the eye with a spork, I can't imagine you'll be doing much of that.

I speak from experience, having played (perhaps the wrong word) about 2/3 of FarCry back in 2004 on an FX5200.

no, no gaming involved at all :)

just general usage.. Internet, Word, Excel etc. Perhaps some light Illustrator work, that's it.

Unless you see any artifacting, you're fine.

If you're in any way concerned about it, you could just jury-rig an 80mm case fan pointing at it.

You can invest less than $3 to get a replacement. Not sure if that unit is an exact fit, but even if the push pins don't work, you can always tape/glue it on.

heh, I played through all of FarCry on an FX5200. The upgrade to my 6600gt was so amazing. Those were the days.
