Old-Timer Video Card Question

Can I install an original 4MB Voodoo card and a Matrox m3d card in the same system at the same time?

Anybody know anything about the Trident ProVidia 9685 graphics chip? I know it's 2-d only, I looked at Trident's website. My card is a Jaton model, with 4MB memory. It says copyright 1996 on the chip.

How about the Diamond Speedstar 64? That's a Cirrus Logic chip, copyright 1994. I'm guessing it's also 2-d only, and I think it has 2MB or 4MB - I haven't tried it out yet.

I have an old -TX chipset mobo, so no agp, with a Pentium 233,and I'm going to combine either the Diamond or Trident card with my old original Voodoo 4MB card and/or my old Matrox m3d 4MB.

I'll probably try to play GLQuake and Carmageddon w/Glide. I'm not going to buy any new parts, all this stuff was given to me for free, along with a NEC 5D monitor, which looks like it's a 20 or 21 incher?

-got a bunch of em in the junkers here at work. NOT FOR GAMES 🙂 DOnt know if it will work with the voodoo
-those old matrox cards suck
-give it a try. I would say you have the best chance of success with the jaton/voodoo combo, but I can't say for sure.
