old Thinkpad+ BIG Drive ?

Pleeze se my post in Motherboards. Does anyone know of software to make a non-int13 board with an 8.4 gig limitation accept a 14 gig drive ?
Please help me.

there's lots of overlay software out there..for example, if it's a maxtor drive you could use their maxblast software to allow the drive to be seen....what brand is the 14 gigger?

I think I read somewhere on IBM's site that some old ThinkPads are limited to like 6 gigs or less no matter what you do. I can't remember where exactly I saw it because I was kinda randomly looking around since I have a TP 760XL and needed some parts for it...
