OLD style 80's boom box.

The shortwave capability really kimits the selection. The old Zenith Transoceanic and Grundig Majestic portable come to mind.

I would search for those on EBay.

JVC, Sanyo, Panasonic, Fisher, Toshiba all made them from time to time and I am sure you will find one on Ebay.

I am tempted to buy online but hard to find. Don't care if its new or old.

The old ones are better as they let you attach custom antenna wiring.

If you have a flea market you nearby you should be able to find them. All the flea markets around me usually have them. Sometimes I see them on CL.

Oooh! That is nice!

Yeah, and it only cost $225.00 back in 1984. I love it! I remember pawning my old boom box and a turntable to get this. Back in 1984 I weighed 130lbs and Carrying this thing all day put some muscle on me. Hell, 10 D sized duracells weighed a few pounds alone!
