I have a Scythe Ninja rev. A that I've been using with my socket 939 forever. I am building a new AM2+ system and want to carry it over.

I am wondering, is this possible? Really, I can see a couple possible scenarios:

1. The retention mechanism of the original ninja (pdf warniing : link) is the same as the Ninja Rev. B/Plus, which did have an AM2 bracket. Find a way to purchase one, probably from someone who bought the Rev. B or the Plus and is using the lga775 bracket.

2. Find a socket 478 -> socket AM2 adapter. The "4 clip" mechanism I'm pretty sure was designed with socket 478 in mind. Would something like this work?

3. Find a socket 939 -> socket AM2 adapter. I'm not sure this is possible, since the s939 retention bracket was designed to be mounted directly to the motherboard.

I'm thinking #2 is probably my best shot, followed by #1. Any advice here?

If it fits 939 with just that one clip, it will fit AM2. Be sure not to snap the retention module's prongs though. I've done that and I can tell you that is not fun.
