I just found some old ones

I doubt they're illegal to distribute, otherwise please inform me.

They play fine in winamp.

So how were these distributed and how old are they?

Well I got my first around 1994, and they travelled around on harddisks and 3.5".

I think they started turning up in early 90's

Anyone remember another form of digital format for music? This was back in the mid to late 80's and was really crappy. You could barely make out the song. But it was cool, a song on a floppy.

Most modern sound cards will have midis sounding pretty decent. 🙂

And geez, I have never even heard of these sort of files. I started in digital music a few months before Napster's controversy started...

So there's still some true underground even on the interweb 🙂
