I recently took an i7-980X Gulftown in trade. Now before everybody jumps on me about this already being old tech :), I practically got it for free and I just want to put together the best system possible.

I've looked at the LGA1366 mobo offerings and I'd appreciate hearing from members who've owned MSI's Big Bang XPower, as I've found a locally owned used board for $125.00 that I got to see while it was powered up. Suggestions for any alternatives would be appreciated as well.

Don't know anything about the XPower, but currently using a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 and it has a really nice BIOS for overclocking, a lot of SATA ports, FireWire, 16 Phase CPU power. The only things that I don't like about it are long POST time and lack of fan control for 3 pin headers like you get on Asus boards.
