first and still the best 🙂

I just finished watching all 7 seasons of TNG courtesy of Netflix... I just started DS9, having never seen one episode. Avery Brooks is very weird in the first ep. All kinds of strange facial expressions and inappropriate reactions. Does he get better?

The first few seasons and the last few seasons are pretty good. The middle seasons get really soap opera-like, IMO.

The first season was good then took a downturn until the dominion war and the last 4 or 5 seasons (however long the dominion war was) rocked, and IMO were the best 4 or 5 years in the history of star trek.

Avery Brooks got better but never complely lost the overacting he seemed to do sometimes.
