Old Router Making my new one drop connection

I recently purchased a Netgear WNDR3700 to replace my Dlink DIR-635. The problem i am having is that i want to give my dlink to my grandparents, who live a street over. Whenever i hook it up at their house, we lose connection here at our house. The Modem just keeps resetting and won't connect to the internet. I tried to factory reset the dlink also, but same problem.

Any idea guys?

Call up the provider and tell them what you did. The MAC address of the router is tied to your modem/account and when it moves the provider won't let you have two connections active/registered.
