Ok ok... so it's not wicked old, but it's certainly something that hasn't been asked in ages.

I have two processors, both Socket 370. One is a Pentium III 966MHz, and the other is a Celeron 1.2GHz. I believe the Pentium is a Coppermine, and the Celeron is a Tualatin.

Basically, in a nutshell, which is worth using? Either one would is going to be throw into a crappy system with 256MB SDRAM, but I'd prefer to know which would preform better.

Thanks. :)

There should be no 966MHz version, but only 933MHz and 1GHz. To support 966MHz bus it needs a 6MHz FSB speed :).

The 1.2 Celeron.

Oops, typo. It should be a 933MHz. Too bad, I had a 1.0GHz Pentium III in a computer that I gave away... I would have loved to play around with it.

It pains me to see a Celeron chosen over a Pentium, even when it's newer. Something about Celerons just turn me off. But hey, for a project, who cares? :)

Thanks for the help.
