Trying to up the ladder to 64 platform.
I was wondering if I can keep using the same power supply for 64 boards?
I noticed 64 boards require extra 4 pin power connector in addition to regular power connector.

Some boards will work with the 20 pin plugged into the 24 pin jack, others protest it.
Which ones...IDK.
A rig should be built around the proper PSU not compromised by a lacking PSU.
The PSU is the heart beat of a rig. I have no idea what PSU and board combo your talking about.
Is it a secret :p

There is a stickied thread at the top in General Hardware. Read it ;)

I was just asking in general.
I have enermax 420w psu, thermaltake 420w psu, enermax350w psu. all of them don't have 4pin connector.
I am thinking of getting ECS AMD64 boards with onboard video. None of my family member plays a game. so it should be sufficient.
just don't want to use cheapo psu that comes with cheap case. Don't want to buy another psus with 4 connector. Ones I have are very reliable still.

no secret. just nothing is decided yet. :)

just read the sticky. thanks GalvanizedYankee for pointing right direction.
