old PCI sound card or Integrated?

I have an old sound card Creative PCI 128 bought in 2001.

I have integrated sound in my motherboard which is Intel Desktop Board D865PERL, it's Sound Max AC97.

My question is this, should I use my PCI sound card instead of the integrated?

Will it take off load from CPU?

Will it improve sound quality?

Will it do anything else? Bad or good?

Yes you should use your PCI sound card.
It will take load off of your CPU since its not intergrated and uses cpu cycles.
Yes a PCI sound card should deliver better sound quality but if you have bad or good speakers will ulitmately effect the overall quality.

I think I have that same PCI card game like CS:S where getting chopppy as hell had to switch from ON-baord to my PCI card to fix it.
