I'm looking for a hold over NAS until the new generation AMD APUs come out to evaluate power to performance, as the new puter won't be too cost constrained under $1,500?.

Any recommended cheap under $150 NAS that are at least 1 gig Ethernet capable or better than this that comes with two 3 TB drives that can be 6 TB or redundant, but not very configurable for only basic files storage? Don't need anything besides hopefully two years of files storage and not much power usage until I can get an equivalent APU puter up and running with more drives.

Thanks!

Don't buy a Lenovo EOL NAS! I consider myself an expert (as much as a consumer user can be) on the IX2-DL units, and the few that I tested out of my 10-lot from ParallelMiner, I couldn't get any of them to initialize correctly. Even with "new" drives.

Those units unfortunately have a drive whitelist.

Get a low-end, but modern, QNAP or Asustor.

Asustor, 2-bay, 2.5GbE

QNAP, 2-bay, 2.5GbE
