How about Racter?

It was an early DOS AI-based program that would converse with you. The Mac version had a voice synthesis that was very good, but I recall that the PC version installed an early version of Windows (2.0 I think). I still have it up on my shelf at home...

Another one was for the Apple IIc, it was again very simple but addictive. You started with a helicopter on the right side of the screen, and you had I think 3 letters to play with. On eletter would start a tank going towards the left, another was a soldier, and one was an engineer (there may have been others, I can't remember). You had to get a good group going, as the computer was doing the same thing out of sight on the left, and when the armies met, they would fight each other one at a time. The helicopter was controlled with a joystick, and it had heat seeking missiles, but so did the computer. Keep in mind this was all made from white lines on a black background. 2 points if you can come up with the name for this one.
Rescue Raiders - this is the one where you had to get the Demolition truck all the way to the other side, right? And you earned money by killing enemies. Loved this game.

Ding Ding Ding! You got it, Rescue Raiders!
