I have an nforce 4 SLI motherboard with an AMD 3500+ (Socket 939). I am getting it up for mining, but the CPU is a bit slow for windows 7, and I am considering putting a dual core in it, if I can get on nice and cheap. Only issue is, I don't know what bios updates are available, and I would want to make sure that the chip is compatible.
I can't figure out what the board actually is though. On the board it says 939GT4 SLI G, and a search for that comes up with some Jetway results, but they look different (red PCB) and don't have an identical model number on their site. The board looks more like this one: http://www.jetway.com.tw/pic/big/939GT4-STD-G-VC.JPG but it has a different model number, 939GT4 SLI G, and their are some slight differences on the board, such as the PCIE x16 slots being yellow-blue-yellow, NOT green-yellow-green.
Could this be some sort of other off brand board? Cpuz cant locate a manufacturer. Any tips or ideas?
