I have an older pc... a dell. With a P4 in it, and 1.5gb ram, and 256 radeon 850gt card.

this a an agp mobo.

The Question

So can I add a Standard PCI video card to add to my video performance?

The Answer

Yes.

The Next Question

Do you mean use two video cards to add more power to your monitor? What are you trying to accomplish. Your original question is kind of vague on that point.

2600xt
x1950pro
3850

Yes it will work. They are all backwards compatible with DX9.

Expensive, but this card would work out well with an AGP motherboard -- provided you're CPU isn't too much of a bottleneck (EG anythng less than a 3400+ A64 AMD/P4D 3.4).

What speed is your P4?

Your best bet is probably a 2600xt ($100-120). Because you are on a Dell system your powersupply may not crank out enough amps to actually use one of the x1950 series cards.
