Old ladies are mean...

at least from how I remember them being.

I was out doing my errands around noon on Sunday and needed gas. The station was kinda crowded so I waited behind one car. When I got to the pump I had to pull up as far as possible to reach the nozzle since the old man in an suv had decided to commandeer most of the 2-pump isle for himself. I pulled up and ran my cc and the old man's wife (who was in her Sunday best, on the way to church) got out and started yelling at me that I was too close. I stated that it was necessary because her husband didn't stop correctly. The lady was livid and refused to get back in the car even though her husband was telling her it was "okay". I started laughing, got in my car and let it roll back about 1 foot. The old maid shook her head at me when they puttered away.

professional pic attached for clarity.

that is all.

People are nuts when it comes to their cars and driving. Just calmly tell her it's not personal, I'm not invading your space, and I didn't touch your precious car so kindly shut the hell up and get back in your car because you're just making yourself look like an ass.

The only relevant part, the common sense bits are superfluous. She was right, you were wrong, you will burn for all eternity. The husband has probably been thru shit like that every Sunday for the past 40 years.

Few years ago, I was pumping gas, when an older couple in a sedan pulled up to the same dispenser, on the other side of the island. Wife was driving, and she got out and started to pump the gas, while the old man sat there in the passenger seat.

While we're both pumping gas, this old coot pulls out a cigarette and lights it, then proceeds to smoke it, all while his window was ~1/2 way down! 😱

I was seriously tempted to pull my nozzle out and aim it at him, but finished topping off the tank, put my gas cap back on, and closed the cover. As I walked past his car, I said (seemingly to no one in particular), "Gee, must be cool to not have to worry about flammable liquids while you smoke!", to which he just gave me a dirty look. 🙄

Meh.....no biggy. Keep smokin', old guy. Chances are you'll die from cancer soon, and hopefully leave plenty of Social Security for when I retire!

Bit of a nervous Nellie, aren't you?

ya, passive aggressiveness ftl.

you shoulda ran up to his window and screamed "WTF YOU AIRHEAD! PUT THAT OUT BEFORE YOU BLOW US ALL TO HELL, TARD!"
that would be a better way of getting you point made than what you did.

Reminds me of the time some pathetic loser gets out, pays and starts pumping gas, latches the nozzle on so he can get back in his car and light up.

The percieved risk that you saw is actually minor in comparison to the social angst you greated the man with.

Gasoline isn't a flammable liquid...

i hear people can spontaneously combust if they dont discharge their static electricity when getting out of their vehicles also.
