Skip down to 2nd paragraph for question.
Hey, a while back (6 months or so) I left my computer running before going on a trip (bad idea I know) and it was running Folding@Home I think. It was a Slot 750 Mhz athlon, that I had OCed to 1Ghz. When I came back, it wouldnt start up. Apparently a power surge had taken place, and either my surge protector didnt work, or since I was OCing it and running a CPU intensive program it burnt the processor.
My question is, do surges almost always take out everything in the comp cept for drives? or only motherboard? cpu?
I wish the CPU would still work, cause it had a 900 Mhz Core. Its a good chip. Thanks.
