Old joystick 15 pin ones

I just found my old logitech wingman extreme digital in a box, its got the sb 15pin joystick port. I saw some 15 to usb converter, so is this still worth keeping ? or send to the recycling dump ?

From what i heard, the adapters only work with joysticks that already had USB electronics inside them (some Microsoft sidewinder sticks). Post the actual model number and u can Google whether it had this option or not. Sadly joysticks are kind of a dead thing now
 
Is the adapter passive or active? If it's passive, it'll only work with a few joysticks that were meant to be used with it. If it's active (which is something I haven't seen, though I haven't checked) it should work.
 
okie, never mind, off to the dumpster for recycling.. i had this in the 90s or something.. hahah played comanche and stuff, guess if i really wanna play ill get something updated
