I listened to ganging up on the sun, and I agree with you - it kind of takes the worst of lost and gone forever (the slow and melodramatic filler) and expands on it. Personally, I think they've been peaky - there were a few great songs on goldfly, one or two on lgf, and i enjoyed pretty much every song on keep it together. The new one - kind of "eh" in general. "the captain" has the same kind of feel as jesus on the radio, which is good for a while, and one man wrecking machine is good, but the rest kind of blends together.
