Old Gigabyte MB BIOS and memory question

😕I have an old Gigabyte motherboard, GA-8PE800 REV 1.1 at BIOS level F2. I have PC2100 266GHZ dimms in it now and I want to go to PC2700 333GHZ dimms. What bios level should I be at for the faster memory? These new dimms are double sided and want to know if they will fit in adjacent slots. Does this motherboard support the @BIOS windows update utility?
Anybody out know the answers to these questions?
